The Duchess is a 2008 British drama film based on Amanda Foreman's biography of the 18th-century English aristocrat Georgiana Cavendish, Duchess of Devonshire. It was released in September 2008 in the UK.

I am not really good on Summarize, but i am trying to explain the plot of this movie.

There is a lady named Georgiana Cavendich, she gets married with William Cavendish, 5th Duke of Devonshire, a cold man, rich and honored. she is unhappy with her marriage because her husband always cheating on her and she has to take care of her daughter from his affair with a maid, but she is trying to stay cool. her husband expects her to have a son but for the first pregnant she gets daughters. during of her sadness, she meets Lady Elizabeth 'Bess' Foster and soon becomes her close friend. then after she knows that Bess has an affair with her husband, she is really sad and she wants to finish her marriage but her mother Countess Spencer doesnt let her to do that. finally, she is pregnant and she has a son.she is almost sick of her husband's behavior and she realizes that she loves Charles Grey, they have an affair and have one children named eliza.she really wants to live  with Charles Grey, but she has no choice, she must live with William Cavendish, Elizabeth 'Bess' Foster and her children, and after she died William Cavendish gets married with Elizabeth 'Bess' Foster.

i didnt know that its real story till i found it from Google. well.... thats very terrible story.... i am just wondering if i were Georgiana, i would kill William.

i am learning about  strength from this movie and how life sometimes is not always like we want but we have to face it and take a decision although we have to sacrifice our  feeling..
